The Depot is a support service funded by JISC as part of RepositoryNet - a set of key projects commissioned by JISC to support the Repositories and Preservation Programme.
The Depot is running on GNU EPrints repository-creating software, which generates repositories that are compliant with the Open Archives Protocol for Metadata Harvesting OAI 2.0.
Repository Junction (the re-direct service) refers to OpenDOAR as a reference for Institutional Repositories and the Depot uses RoMEO as an authoritative reference to derive Publisher and/or ISSN details from a Journal name.
The Depot conforms to W3C standards for conformity and validation, and Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act for accessibility.
